Battle engineer

Artificer Subclass

The battle engineer focuses on direct combat with weapons and magical rune arms. They often use heavy or light repeating crossbows to deal heavy damage at long range, and have one-handed weapons to participate in melee combat. They also use rune arms to augment their damage, taking advantage of the built-in cannon.

Rune arm

At 3rd level, you build and enchant a mechanical arm, which fits over you weapon arm. Whenever you make a melee attack with a weapon in this arm, the attack does one d4 additional damage. You also have a cannon in it with five charges. When you shoot is at a target, it automatically hits and deals d6 of magical damage.

Infused weapons

Starting at 5th level, your infused weapons grow more powerful. They gain a +1 in their ability, and you can ad 1 to any critical hit rolls, and +1 to critical hit damage. Additionally, your rune arm has one extra charge, and now does 2d6 of magical damage.

Infused armor

Starting at 8th level, your infused armor gains +1 to any of it’s effects. It also gains +5 AC, and +10 if the incoming damage is from a spell.
