Folk of Petal and Bud

There is a special life that comes with the vibrancy of flowers. Countless poets, painters, and philosophers have noticed the special kind of life and energy that comes with these flowers: in meadows or ponds, from the fields of activity to the ashes of life, flowers are special in the right that when they bloom, life blooms with it. And with the same hand that created the dwarves in the mountains and the tritons in the seas, life can't help but spring up from these plants.

Where there are fields of flowers, there are most definitely angiospaea. A type of plant-fey race, these creatures bloom up in the purest parts of nature where plants run wild.

Queenbuds

Queenbud (by Deer-Head)

Making up 70% of all angiospaea, queenbuds are the largest subrace as well as the most diverse. Characterized by a set number of broad, distinguished petals and their growth as ornamentals and sometimes on fruit trees, queenbuds are what most think of when thinking of angiospaea. Attention-grabbing and vibrant, these flowers have a strong connection to the world and will do their best to make it better or live in it as vibrantly as possible. Examples include sunflowers, roses, pear blossoms, and buttercups.

Mystelie (by Deer-Head)

The mystelies (mist-i-lies) are often though to be the strangest subrace of all the angiospaea. Mysterious and observant, these flowers are characterized by their slender build, flowing petals, and tendency to have a gentle, sometimes removed beauty. Examples include, orchids, tulips, and most lilies.

Elderkin

Few can truly attest to ever seeing an elderkin angiospaea. Also referred to as motherroots, the elderkin are the last of the first flowers and as rare as they are wise. Growing only in a secluded corner of the world, the only elderkin flowers are amborella: small and tiny flowers that grow on bushes and are a secretive, closed bunch. Their knowledge about the first flowers and their history has been passed down from generation to generation. Few elderkin are left to hold these secrets, and even few outsiders get to learn them.
Ability Score Increase. Your wisdom score increases by an extra 1.
