Release information

This card was included in the EX FireRed & LeafGreen expansion with artwork by K. Utsunomiya, first released in the Japanese Flight of Legends expansion. It was reprinted in the Supreme Victors expansion with new artwork by Wataru Kawahara, first released in the Japanese Beat of the Frontier expansion.

During the XY Series, VS Seeker was released as an Item card with an updated effect and new artwork by 5ban Graphics in the Phantom Forces expansion, first released in the Japanese Hyper Metal Chain Deck. The Japanese Emerald Break expansion included a Secret print of VS Seeker, which was later printed in the English Roaring Skies expansion. The Japanese M Master Deck Build Box Power Style and M Master Deck Build Box Speed Style, released August 7, 2015, both included prints of the Hyper Metal Chain Deck print of VS Seeker. This print was also included in the Japanese Golduck BREAK + Palkia-EX Combo Deck. A Mirror Reverse Holofoil reprint of this print was later included in the Japanese Premium Champion Pack.

At the start of the Japanese Sun & Moon Era, the Hyper Metal Chain Deck print was reprinted again in the Premium Trainer Box. Despite the layout for Trainer cards being changed for the new Era, this print retains the old card layout. This layout was retained for the reprints in the Japanese The Best of XY subset, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Premium Trainer Box, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Deck Build Boxes, and the Extra Regulation Box.
