Tropical Mega Battle

The Pokémon Tropical Mega Battle was a TCG tournament that took place every year between 1999 through 2001 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii. This event was a battle between the best players from Canada, Latin America, Europe, the United States, and Japan. Approximately 50 players attended the event each year. A tournament structure was adopted in mid-2001 which lead to the first of what become the annual World Championships, which replaced the Tropical Mega Battle in 2002.
