Release information

In Japan, this card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret Rainbow Rare in the Infinity Zone expansion. The Regular print features artwork by take, while the Full Art and Rainbow Rare prints feature artwork by kirisAki. Outside Asia, the Regular and Full Art prints were included in the Darkness Ablaze expansion; the Regular print was later reprinted alongside the Rainbow Rare print in the Champion's Path expansion. The Japanese Shiny Star V subset included another reprint of the Regular print as well as a new Full Art card with artwork by Megumi Mizutani. This Full Art print was later included in the Shining Fates expansion. The Regular print was reprinted again in the Japanese Single Strike Premium Trainer Box. It was reprinted in the Japanese VMAX Climax subset as another Full Art card with artwork by GOSSAN.

Piers is a Gym Leader in Galar and the captain of Team Yell. The Spikemuth Gym is featured in the Darkness Ablaze print's illustrations. A younger Piers and his then Galarian Linoone are featured in the Shining Fates print's illustration.
