Plot
Blue is unable to control the front three carriages of the Magnet Train. Brock and Erika rush in to the driver's cab to help, but not even the combined Magnitude of Brock's six Geodude are able to stop the train. Erika soon notices that they are fast approaching a dead end, and will crash if they don't do something.
Meanwhile, in the middle of the rear three carriages of the train which are heading back to the Indigo Plateau, Falkner, Bugsy, Whitney, and Morty continue to whittle down some Team Rocket Grunts, when Lt. Surge enters to inform them about the carriage split, and how he was able to generate enough electricity to reverse the carriages' motion. He holds up a Great Ball as proof of his accomplishment.
Misty gasps upon seeing the Pokémon inside. Blaine knows that the last of the Legendary beasts has found its companion. They eventually show Lt. Surge the Great Balls of two other beasts that have accepted them, and together the beasts teleport the three Kanto Gym Leaders towards the Indigo Plateau, which has mostly been evacuated but Ho-Oh and Lugia remain on the rampage. The three Gym Leaders arrive to confront the Masked Man.
