This card was one of six available through the Pokémon Happy Adventure Rally 2002, which ran on the JR East Yamanote Line from August 3 to August 18, 2002. Mewtwo could be obtained at the booth present at Shinagawa Station.

Super Psy Bolt's Japanese name is that of a Super form of Confusion, a move in the Pokémon games that Mewtwo can learn. This card's e-Reader Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Gold.
