When Ash and his friends were dining with Madame Muchmoney, she noticed that her Snubbull refused to eat. She tried to have Jacques prepare something special for Snubbull, but he replied that he already tried everything before, and Snubbull still wouldn't eat. Fortunately, Brock gave Snubbull the rice balls that he had in his bag, and it ate them.
