Genyo Takeda

Genyo Takeda (Japanese: 竹田 玄洋, born December 7, 1949) is a game designer and director who works for Nintendo. Upon Satoru Iwata's death, Shigeru Miyamoto and Takeda temporarily served as Representative Directors of Nintendo together.[1][2] He retired in 2017, and in 2018 he accepted a DICE Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in Nintendo. Nintendo also refers to him as their first video game designer.
