This card was included in the Generations expansion, first released in the Japanese PokéKyun Collection. In Japan, this card was reprinted as a XY-P Promotional card with new artwork by Naoki Saito and was available as an insert with Limited Edition A copies of Pocket Monsters XY&Z TV Anime Character Song Project Collection Volume 2 -Compilation-, released on October 26, 2016. Another version of the CD, Limited Edition B, was released on the same day, but came packaged with an Ash-Greninja-EX card instead.

Flap is a Skill in Pokémon Shuffle. Musician Tomohisa Sako is the person portrayed in the illustration of the XY-P Promotional print. The anime character Titus is based on him, who also uses an Altaria in battle. The XY-P Promotional print features the Shiny version of Altaria.
